Dr Harbans Singh is a Consultant Urologist at RG Stone Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital. He has experience of 28 years in the field of medicine. He graduated from the premier Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. He underwent his surgical training at the same institute and completed his masters in surgery in 1995. His thesis work on "Association of carcinoma gall bladder with typhoid" led to a path-breaking research establishing typhoid carrier state as one of the causative factors for carcinoma of the gall bladder. He further pursued his studies in the field of Urology and was awarded the MCh Urology degree from the prestigious academic institution JIPMER Pondicherry. To enhance his skills in the field of Endourology, he pursued the Endourology fellowship awarded by World Endourology Society, NY at the renowned Urological Institute MPUH, Nadiad. His work on Bipolar TURP was acclaimed by the World Endourology Society and has been cited in many publications. He has also published many research papers and has mentored many young urologists. His areas of interest include Endourology, Renal stone disease and BPH, applications of laser in Urology, Laparoscopic Urology and Reconstructive Urology.
